I come from a background in catering and was the first female chef at the House of Commons. But after 15 years in the catering industry I wanted a change.
In 2007, I had the opportunity to visit Hawaii for six months to study at the well respected Hawaiian School Of Massage.
A chance visit to the volcanco in Kīlauea gave me a feeling of being calm and rested. This inspired me to learn LaStone - Geothermal massage - alternating hot basalt stones with cooled marble stones.
Since qualifying in 2008 I have continued to develop my knowledge through learning reflexology and aromatherapy.
I was attracted to Reflexology because I have always liked peoples feet and have discovered that they can give me a greater understanding about my clients.
Learning Reiki gave me a better insight into the spiritual aspect of healing. As I progressed my Reiki training to Master level I have developed the ability to combine Reiki with stones. This has enabled me to use the stones in a Reiki treatment to help the client feel relaxed and grounded.
